Marissa is the CEO and founder of non-profit HERhealthEQ, CEO of DeepLook Medical, Investment Committee member of GGVentures, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Graybella Capital. She is also an active founding member of both the Milken Institute's Women's Health Committee and the Innovation Equity Forum, a Gates Foundation-led initiative. Her mission is to advance innovation and the health of women on a global scale.
Through her work with DeepLook Medical, Marissa has commercialized FDA-cleared technology through six commercial sales partnerships, launched the company in the US, Canada, and the UK, and raised more than $5M in Seed and Series A capital. She has spoken at some of the largest healthcare conferences in the world, including HLTH.
Through her work with HERhealthEQ, Marissa has led the organization to improve the health of 108,000 women across 12 countries. Her leadership has grown the board, deployed 60+ pieces of medical equipment, earned the PIR.org Impact Health Award in 2023, and driven fundraising in support of the detection, treatment, and prevention of breast cancer, cervical cancer, and maternal health for women globally.
Marissa is a TEDx speaker (TEDxLugano), a UCSC Miller Center Social Entrepreneur Fellow, and has been named one of the Top 100 Women in Medtech. She is also the author of the forthcoming book Undervalued to Unavoidable: Women's Health As Infrastructure, an investment playbook for corporate leaders, operators, and institutional investors who are ready to move from agreeing that women's health matters to knowing exactly what to do about it.
